What do you think about these LOKAR systems? Might just have to do an after market accelerator pedal.

Does any one know if their interchangeable with other years? The accellerator pedal arm that is!

Re: 1971 GMC / Chevy accellerator pedal arm

Zulu We are currently working on a direct fit throttle pedal assembly for the 67-70 and 71-72 Chevy & GMC trucks. This might save you some time and issues in trying to install a universal style throttle assembly. There are also matching Brake, Clutch and E-Brake pedal pads. If you have any questions please contact us Toll Free 1-877-469-7440

Re: 1971 GMC / Chevy accellerator pedal arm

First let me thank all of you for the input..
I went down to Tuckers and talked to Tom Barrie he found what I needed and will have it here Monday or so.

At the same time I can't wait for Lokar's direct fit throttle pedal assembly to come out..

Thx again Gents

Re: 1971 GMC / Chevy accellerator pedal arm

My '68 C/10 was originally painted in 516 Orange. [And still is.] I've heard that color called "Omaha Orange." I used it in a post one time and some guy came back saying that Omaha orange was a Ford color. I didn't flame back, since p!ssing contests are pointless, IMO. Actually, I have seen VWs, Dodges and Fords in that same color.
Getting back to the original content of the thread, I adapted the accelerator arm and mount from a '72 Chevy truck to my '68. I used a cable assembly from some outfit in Santa Barbara, Calif -- can't remember the brand name. It wasn't Lokar. Application was a modified 292 L6 w/ Clifford headers, Offy intake and Edelbrock 4Bbl carb. The old Rube Goldberg turnbuckle/bellcrank rig was prone to jamming, breakdown and didn't give me WOT. Glad to hear somebody has standardized this set-up.
