Re: Operation Second Chance :D (1970 CST/10 402 - Longbox)

No photo-worthy updates for the year yet, but spring is almost here, the weather is warming up, and I have been accumulating parts galore! I have been selling extra parts that I won't be needing and putting the money right back into my truck. I recently bought the front end, with all steering parts out of an '88 burb to start my swap to discs in the front, and have an air ride bag and bracket kit on its way from Jason at AVS.

One more month 'til I'm finished University for good, and I'll be giving the truck my undivided attention evening and weekend attention

Don't worry, updates and pictures to come soon!

Here's a bit of progress... Started rebuilding the front end out of an '88 Suburban to get discs up front, and started installing the air ride.

Now to just get the ball joints, bushings, and shafts removed from the lower, paint them, clean up where I cut off the bump/steering stops, paint, install new ball joints and bushings, and bolt back up.

Everything painted so far has been cleaned with wire brush, acid dipped, then given a coat or two of POR 15 Chassis Black.

I picked up a set of buckets and console out of a '99 Silverado this weekend for $80, and swapped out the worn stock seats. Don't worry I'll keeping the original seats just incase I ever change my mind.
