Re: Let's see those slant noses. Calling all 67's & 68's, clips too.

Mine is a static drop. 3" drop springs and 2 1/2" drop spindles in the front and out back I had a leaf setup so I used an axle flip kit and it dropped the rear 6".

Re: Let's see those slant noses. Calling all 67's & 68's, clips too.

this thread seems a proper place to beg for this help

does anyone have or is anyone willing to take a picture of the core support bushings on a 72 frame with the 67-68 front clip swap? i set the cab and clip back on my truck today and it is not lining up at all with the 72 bushings. my truck is k20, but i don't think that should matter much

Thanks

Ryan

Ryan, I can tell you from me mounting my cab and fenders yesterday for a dry fit prior to body and paint is that the core support for the 67 is just flat washers. (Rubber and steel.) with a bolt and nut. If you need a picture I'll see if I can get one for you.

Wayne,

Thanks

is your frame a 67 as well? from what reading i did the bushing choice is dictated by the frame. my frame is a 72. i cant tell if it is just alignment that is causing the fenders to seem high in the front and i have to diddle with everything to get the result i want or if it is actually the bushing situation. i have very little bodywork experience so i am kind of in the dark about what i am looking at.

i suppose since this is a picture thread i should post one...

Nice rides and though I loved my 72 I just wanted to get back to the slant nose front end. I can see that I am not alone.

Albe 68----Love the color of your truck!
What color blue? I have a 67 4x4x step that the previous owner put a 71-72 clip on and I'm changing over back to a 67 early spring and am looking at blue for paint. It was originally dark blue metalic which as of now do not know the original paint code. Good job!
