Cool My old truck is going up for auction

A truck that I did and sold is going up for auction. I wonder what it'll bring.

Re: My old truck is going up for auction

I didn't notice that till you mentioned it. I don't know what it'll go for but I want to find out. I may be able to look it up afterwards. We'll see.

I would also clean it up.

Nice truck. Did you have the seat recovered or is it original?

Re: My old truck is going up for auction

I bought the cover at a Super Chevy Show from a vendor.I installed it. It was green and black houndstooth but the black faded to brown which I liked more. It kinda went with all that woodgrain.

Re: My old truck is going up for auction

the original seat cover was a dark green olive metallic with scrolls. I couldn't find one so I went with that. The green isn't an exact match but I got a deal on it.

Re: My old truck is going up for auction

yes it is.

I miss the truck but I think I'm gonna like my 3/4 more. I got that truck done and used it some but was afraid of getting a scratch all the time.

Re: My old truck is going up for auction

When I painted the truck I wanted to leave some since originality to some of it. I didn't paint the firewall or glovebox door.

Re: My old truck is going up for auction

Chad bought the truck and drove it back to Dallas from Nashville. Since he's had it he said he redid all the brakes system. Booster master cylinder, and all stainless lines. I had the tranny rebuilt not long before I sold it. The motor ran fine and I was told it had been rebuilt at some point so I never messed with it. I added HEI and had the valve seals replaced right after I got it. It puffed a little smoke at start up every time I started it. After the valve seals were replaced that quit. I was glad too. Only thing I wish it had was cruise. It went down the road smooth. I also added air shocks to the rear for when I towed something. I replaced the working a/c compressor because the clutch was throwing oil out. After about three or four months it started doing it again. It worked fine and blew cold but I was frustrated and vowed no more money into the old system. I was going to do a Vintage Air system when it quit. Notice the homemade splash shield over the compressor clutch.

Re: My old truck is going up for auction

thanks chuck. today im leaning heavily in favor of this color combo. the black door panels on the olive doors look better than i had imagined.

i also want cruise control but with my four speed i think i will have to rig something up...ive read about clamping a trigger type throttle with a set screw to the floor shift. it may do double duty as it could come in very handy at the local boat launches i use.

Re: My old truck is going up for auction

Thanks, Chuck. What a beautiful truck. I like to see a highly optioned truck in original form.
