Could you post a side view of your chop? It's hard to tell you even did it at the angles you posted-although IMO, that's the best chop...subtle!
Here ya go Brad, as for time i cut about six inches out then tacked it together and move on. i just worked on it when i had time.

the front cab post is on an angle so if you measure 5 ''s and just cut out 5''s front and rear the front will be much higher than the back because of the front post's angle ,
laying a template across the door opening automatically calculate's how much more that would be needed removed from the front to make the top come down evenly ,
in other word's after you mark it with the template if you checked it you may be taking 5''s from the rear but the front may be 6 1/4 ''s ,,,,see
No ... I don't "see" ... your drawing is too small to read.

Re: Roof Chop

You would probably be better off just buying one that's already been done. I've seen a few on regional CL ads and am not sure if they ever sell. Not much of a demand I guess.

If you don't know if they ever sell, how can you tell whether there is a demand or not?.... Just sayin'.

I agree on buying one done if you know what you are looking at as far as a quality job.
