Re: HeavyMetalChevy

i hate to be here but i havent heard from him since his post about bowing out, i purchased a set of door panels and set of complete lower trim for a short box, i gave him the option in his thread to either refund my money or send the parts whatever was easiest for him i even sent him a pm in case he didnt see it in the thread and i have not heard from him or recieved anything since even though i have seen him on here since

its been at least a month now and i could have used that money over 200 dollars to send to someone else on here i owe money to for parts but i trusted im, i dont normally talk about my health or financial issues to alot of people but i have a disability 200 bucks isnt alot of money but to me it is i bust my hump to make my money and it isnt easy due to my disability sorry i dont mean to rant and not sure where i was going with that, im just not sure what do anymore part of me wants to file a claim with paypal and part of me wishes i could trust him to do the right thing but from reading here i dont know if thats going to happen

I would get your claim going before it is too late.

I am not surprised at this outcome at all. I could see when he joined he didn't seem to know much about these trucks but was a pro in no time restoring this and that and selling everything everyone wanted. He used alot of words that people wanted to hear. My only deal with him was selling some parts to him and even that wasn't smooth. Drug his feet until you offered it to the next guy then BAM, there he was wondering why i was reselling...
Sorry you have to go through this randy and i hope the outcome is ok.
My feeling is this isn't totally intentional on his part, i think he "flaked" out (like his ad from late one night) and can't recover this time...

Re: HeavyMetalChevy

i really didnt want to file a claim i wanted to give him the benefit of the doubt or afraid if i made the claim my parts would show up the next day or something, but after some though and comments i decided i should only to find out when i went to file my claim with paypal i got this message "We're sorry, but this transaction cannot be disputed because it is not a purchase of goods or services. Please contact the recipient directly" since i sent the payment to him as a gift to save the "seller" paypal fees i can not file a claim so i am out $238.00 plus paypal fees and no parts to show for it

so unless you really trust someone for your sake do not send as a gift through paypal or you could end up in my shoes lesson learned! there are board members on here i would still trust to send as a gift hopefully duane resolves everything with randy and hoooopefully he refunds my money or sends me my parts as well as anyone else he has dealings with

Re: HeavyMetalChevy

Another reason to pay the paypal fees. I had to bother him until I got my refund and he made a comment that it was like I was ripping him off because of it. That is when I stopped dealing with him.

Re: HeavyMetalChevy

As far as Duane on the shipping deal, I think its all up to me, he had his chance for months to help get it straightened out and didn't, so he can't help me now, I don't think.
Now its up to Attorney General to let me know who I need to go after whether it be Duane, Estes or the Collection Agency and what I need to do, if I can do anything.
I'm sorry to hear all of the other fine members deals going bad with him, I'd suggest if you can file a pay pal claim to all who didn't send it as a gift, ASAP.
Thanks to you all for the support

Re: HeavyMetalChevy

OK everyone....Kingsolver....your parts have been packed up and ready to go... I have never once "ripped" anyone and always made good on my parts... I will send the money for the shiiping on bucket brackets Pickmup. Randy...YOU DROPPED THE BALL ON THE FREIGHT SHIPMENT and I did not want it to come to this....I had a solidified rate with my third party logistics company of around 115 dollars to ship the 5 doors. Since you failed to use the third party Bill of Lading which I provided you with and expressed how crucial it was to make sure you provided that specific BOL for the Pickup...Now we are at a rate of the $500 plus bill seeing how we both do not have an Estes account. Therefor....I guess you are all under the assumption because of Randy's negligence to follow the distinct instructions I gave him to avoid this type of price gouge on the Fright companies part.... It is my responsibility to pay out of my pocket? That is the whole story clear, cut, and dry...

I can correlate this to a deal. Say you sent a restored steering column to Canada... You had to list the full amount for insurance purposes....it hits customs, and when the Canadian customer gets the customs bill and import surcharges....they will expect you to refund that amount? Or even better....you put the declared value at a substantially less price to help with customs...the item gets damaged but is not fully covered because of lower declared value??? You tell me...

I hope this gets straightened out Randy.
It was VERY VERY EASY.. I can list ALL the members whom were more than satisfied with the deals... Only two I had problems with out of DOZENS.... I also ate a 125+ Bill of lading mistake on a shortbed stepside I had shipped from Nevada to here for a member that was in Afghanistan at the time. I ate that one...I am not eating 500 dollars.

yes its easy to get paranoid, i sent you a pm and left you a message on your thread "my inbox is wiped" giving you the option of sending me the arts or refunding my money whatever was easiest for you per the situation you are or were in, you never replied to either even though i seen you on here several times after maybe you were busy i dont know, im not saying your out to get everyone on here but when you werent resonding i was gettig a lil "paranoid" can you blame me? im not tryig to be an ass i was being very patient in waiting for a response from you i could not call you since im hearing impaired so thats where i stand with it

im not denying what i said i did tell you i was in no hurry for my parts before you made your post about leaving the forum, i then gave you the option as mentioned and became paranoid, concerned whatever you want to call it after not hearing from you, i hope we can resolve this without hard feelings

Randy, I sure hope your issue gets resolved. I always thought he was a BSer.
I took pictures of it showing you it was not damaged... Recall that one??? I am not fond of refunding parts that were already purchased and returned for no reason... FOr all I knew you found for cheap local and was just trying to back out of the deal... Should have opened and inspected it...

Re: HeavyMetalChevy

I'm a new member on the board have bought some items from other board members and have had very good results from everyone.....except HMC!!! I bought some trim and a tach dash from Duane a few months ago....got the run around from him for a few weeks on shipping. After about 3 weeks of excuses I got frustrated and called him out on it, he pointed me to the buyer and sellers code of ethics thread (seriously)and advised me read it?? He indicated that it allowed adequate time for shipment and that I had not allowed enough time for him to ship. Obviously adequate time is more than 3 weeks?? Actually the code of ethics doesn't mention anything for adequate time for shipment.....only payment....but its understood I know! My wife I have sold many items on eBay and we always ship within 3 days after payment is received. Personally I think that 3 days to 1 week is more than enough time for shipment!! Anyway, Duane assured me it was because of the situation with his dad and was doing the best he could.....so maybe I'm gullible but to me he was and believable so I gave him the benefit of the doubt since I did get my parts, and they were pretty much as he had described and I was pleased with them.

Everyone deserves a second chance so being the guy I am, I then purchased a 71-72 grill shell from him for $125, and he said it would be shipped the next day.....that was about 3 weeks ago and still no grill shell, no refund, no communication...no nothing. Shame on me for believing in someone and giving them an opportunity to redeem themselves!!

Yeah....my life is a little more complicated than others. This is why to me...they are just parts....I have waited almost two months for replacement parts from vendors....I knew they were good on it...so I did not waste my time tripping on it.. They came and I continued to buy from them...That is ust me though...

If you ever have issues in the future please contact a staff member. I have heard of folks using the guidelines to bully before. It does not fly..

No, you have no idea how complicated others lives are. Again, I am sorry about your Dad. If I listed the bs crap we have gone through the last year, I could make folks cry. As can many others. Any way you look at it, you are trying to justify (from reading your responses) sending parts that came damaged, slow ship, non payment and scaring a newbie with rules meant to protect all? I am not trying to be an ass, but dude, get real. We ALL have issues, we ALL have lives outside the site. However, we do not all make deals and not follow through on them.

My suggestion, as stated in the other thread.. get your open deals finished. Clean up any messes you need to, and move on. Fraud is fraud no matter how you attempt to color it. It is not acceptable in any form.

Thanks
