bed floor clearance

I have lowered my truck 5.5/7, it looks like i'm going to have issues with the rear end hitting the bed floor. How much room do I need between the top of the rear end and the bed floor?

Ideally about 2" minimum.
You going to raise the floor?

Re: bed floor clearance

My old black truck was 8" out back of drop and the rear never touched the floor...

I'll just cut out where the rear end is and put a sheet metal cover.

Re: bed floor clearance

How big of notch do you have? If you have a standard C-notch, are you running bump stops? I have the button style stops in my C-notch and the pumpkin is 1.5-1.3/4" from the bed floor.

I have the Porterbuilt 2-pice c-notch with the button style stops. Do you have any clearance issues? thats about the same distance I have.

Also interested. Anyone know the distance from top of frame rail to bottom of wood floor?
