Re: Mar-k Molding dealer?

And you've picked a good time. It's not up, but they usually do a 10% off and/or free shipping for Memorial Day Weekend.

I'm finally going to order a set of 67/68 lower trim for my truck.

They *usually* only do a labor day and memorial day "sale" from the best I can tell. They don't really advertise it all that well...

Re: Mar-k Molding dealer?

I bought mine from Brother's. If you order an entire set, they drop ship Mar-K, or at least used to, I called to verify this fact before ordering. Apparently if you order pieces, you may get whatever, but with an entire set, it's Mar-K.

Brother's does offer some discount over ordering direct, at least when I did it.

This is good to know. I really want a set of 67/68 side trim as well, but am finding it difficult to pull together enough courage to hit that "Place Order" button with that asking price.

I ordered an entire set from them as I was told the same thing on the phone. They pulled a bait and switch in my case so I got a refund and ordered direct.

That's really disappointing to hear. As I recall, the discount over direct was not inconsequential, but if there's a risk of not getting the MAR-K product, then it's definitely not worth it.

What sucks is they raised their price this year after it being the same for the last 5 or 6 years... so now I'm basically going to be paying what was full price last year....

Haha, yes I noticed that when I looked today. I might just have to wait until the next cycle of trimless trucks becomes popular again and people start selling the trim they bought 10 years ago...

I knew I should have bought it last year.

Re: Mar-k Molding dealer?

So, I asked the question and got a response:

Quote:
Hi Jesse,

No, we don’t have a Memorial Day Sale this year.

Thank you,

Audrey

MAR-K Specialized Manufacturing

I'm pretty sure they also used to do a July 4th, Labor Day, and Thanksgiving sales... I'm in no hurry, so I'll just wait to see if they have a sale then.

Re: Mar-k Molding dealer?

I looked into that too... it was MAR-Ktech and they've let their vendor status drop to pink and hasn't made a post since December 2015 and the last "activity" was January 2017.

...maybe I do need to get my trim now...

Re: Mar-k Molding dealer?

Luckily, I saw this today! I got my tailgate trim ordered. I already cleaned and installed the old side trim. It looks decent, I guess, but I don't want to drop another grand on trim.

I bit the bullet and ordered the 67/68 side trim... I won't need it for quite a while, but at least it's paid for now.
