What Is Your Suburban choice?

-
OK I've never posted a poll before so I hope I don't screw anything up here.

This is a hypothetical question:

There are two '67-'72 suburbans for sale, reasonably priced and you had the spare cash to buy ONE. They are the same year, same color, same options, same engine & trans combo, same price, etc... They are exactly alike except one is a 2 wheel drive and one is a 4x4. Which one would you buy.... If you want to post a reason for your vote feel free to do so.

Thanks for helping me out here.

Re: What Is Your Suburban choice?

4X4 for me hands down.

These old trucks to me just have a certain tough but sweet personality to me when they are 4 wheel drive.

Plus I think they look better with 4x4 suspension.

All about personal taste.

Re: What Is Your Suburban choice?

Four wheel no question.
These are nostalgic for me between used for recreation in the woods, forest service or getting the crews to the undeveloped jobsite. Just love the stance, knowing the capability if neccessary. You may seldon use it as four wheel or need it as such but it is there when you need it. I have two other four wheel drives so I am biased. A two wheel will always be two wheel drive with no other options.

Re: What Is Your Suburban choice?

I have to say I like them both but when it comes right down to it I would have the 2wd because I would never go 4 wheeling in my restored burb. I had a 4wd blazer for a couple of years and really liked it but always wanted a 2wd blazer and thats the way I feel about the burbs. I like them low to cruise around town with the family. Thought I would post a pic of the burb I just finished this year.

I've got a 2 wheel drive, but I am partial to 4X4's. I'd go with the 4 by.

Has to be 4wd. I like going places that require the use of 4wd to get there.

Re: What Is Your Suburban choice?

I partial to the 2 wheel drive. One less thing to repair and the gas milage is even worse on a 4 x 4. Don't get me wrong though... I would be proud to own a 4 x 4. I would take the one in the best condition.

Hey CCMcdonald. Your Burb looks better every time you post a picture. Nice job!

Re: What Is Your Suburban choice?

even though I live near Chicago I would pick a 2wd suburban over a 4x4
mine sits a little high right now almost looks a little like a 4x4
but its 2wd and a drop kit and new wheels will be added this spring

Re: What Is Your Suburban choice?

Thanks 72Arizonaburb!!! Your burb looks awsome as well. I think its pretty cool that we were almost on the same schedule with our builds this year. Lots of late nights in the garage but well worth it.

I have to say "its never low enough" so if I HAD to buy a 4x4 it would have to be lowered.

Re: What Is Your Suburban choice?

I voted 4x4.

The last 6 vehicles I have owned were 4x4's. I own 3 right now, have space for one more. I feel like my butt is draggin if there is'nt at least 3 feet between me and terra firma.

Re: What Is Your Suburban choice?

4x4 for the fun of it, even if you don't go hard core off roading. It can be fun without thrashing. All the interior space to make a nice hunting rig with room for people and stuff.

I have a slammed 2WD truck and a 4WD burb and it's perfect that way.
