Source for Cab

Anybody know of a source for a restored cab. I just need the cab for a 67 -72 would prefer small window but not a big deal.

Years ago I started this project and this has been my Achilles heel. Most everything else is finished an in storage. BTW, I live in North MS in the Memphis area.

Re: Source for Cab

I'm moving this out of the suburban board, and onto the truck board.
I am personally unaware of any companys that restore cabs to sell. You can probably get a cab, and take it to a body shop, but it may take a bit longer than what you are looking for.

Re: Source for Cab

Please don't turn this into another WTB thread.

No one, that we know of, is producing these cabs...yet anyway. So your only shot is to fix the one you have or search Craig's List, E-bay, or the local bone yards.
Steel prices are up, so a lot of stuff that has been sitting has gone to the scrapper lately.

Re: Source for Cab

Not sure but I thought one of the vendors in Florida was doing cabs a few years back. And if you have the bucks you can get a fiberglass cab thats the only one's I recall.

Re: Source for Cab

No one makes a complete steel cab or we would sell them. Their are some brand new 73 cabs in the white in Michigan. I was at Kennys trucks in Oklahoma a couple of weeks ago and he had some nice almost rust free cabs

Re: Source for Cab

Sammy, you are correct. http://www.usbody.com/ is the place that sells them. They aren't cheap, but they wont rust either.

Re: Source for Cab

A few years ago I talked to a guy who bought a restored original cab from Ed at Mother Truckers in Florida. He said it was around $2500 I think and it was bodyworked, primered, blocked and ready for final paint. This was a few years ago so I am sure the price has changed.......

As soon as you sell yours, are you coming after the one I have?

I sent you a PM.

Watch out there Putter, you do not want to get all the DAWGS on the board
stirred up.

The only cab I have ever found was fiberglass and the website was provided in a previous post.

Re: Source for Cab

I put a bounty on this board for one and was not able to come up with one. We spent a lot of money fixing the one we had.
