They have this color also. It's a little darker.

Here's a nice '63 that I took pictures of at a local car cruise. It was restored by Zwygart's Hot Rodz. I guess the owner's dad bought it new. The hubcaps are obviously the wrong year, but the guy said he had the white painted originals in his garage.

Now that's a sweet little truck! I'm loving the plain jane thing. The right caps would look great on it. I have an NOS set I'd sell if his are junk. Got more pics?

Re: The 1960 - 1966 Chevrolet & GMC Pickups Factory Correct Restoration Thread

Thanks to all that have commented on this thread. It has to be the most interesting thread on this forum. I was lucky enough back in Dec. to purchase a 1965 SWB Big Window Fleetside, with 283, powerglide transmission. I have always thought that GM hit this one out of the park when they hit the market with this truck. What timeless styling. My truck has the original wood bed flooring, it also has the comfort package. Meaning it has the red armrest on the drivers door, and the full foam seat bottom. This set is exactly like the shown here, with the exception of the vinyl which is red. I can still remember my fathers new 66 stepside that he purchased for the farm. I still have the red flare box that was underneath the seat. The flares are long gone but the metal box is in nice condition, and it still has the course red flag materiel inside the box. I don't know as much as most of you on this forum, but it's just a real joy to see the knowledge that you all have. Thanks again

The glovebox looks pretty much like it should in the pic. I'll have to put the two parts side by side, but I don't think the door is much, if any darker than the heater controls. The pics make the look like theres more difference than there actually is. I've had two '66 trucks and they've both matched the NOS heater controls very closely. I have seen pics of some that we're lighter though. Maybe different plants had slightly different colors?
