Fuel Tanks and Years

I know there were a couple different tanks for these, but are any of them model year specific? Just wondering why these guys list this as 71-72?

While we're talking about tanks. I'm considering one of these because my fuel filter keeps clogging with rust Any opinions?

Good question. I don't think there is a difference.

I'm glad I got the big big tank. 21 gallons would mean a range of about 200 miles for my big block.

I think the 71- 72 tanks have a return line "nipple" for the charcoal cannister.. the 69 - 70's do not.. thats the only difference I know of..

That equates to almost 30 gals. I'm curious to how low it will hang.

Re: Fuel Tanks and Years

Thanks guys.

It says it's a "replacement" tank which means you should be able to use the original straps. If that's the case, it shouldn't hang any lower than stock. I guess I'll find out...
