Question Rear brake line routing..... huh? I'm at a loss

Does anyone have a clue why the factory chose to route the rear brake line down the passenger side frame rail?

Just a guess, but I think it was because they were already routing the fuel line on that side. This allowed them to use a common mounting points....

I have often wondered this my self, I figured it had to do with with electrical wires running down the drivers side and the potential for fire in the event of a crash so they moved it to the passenger side. I want to know the real reason sometime.

Thanks for the replies.

I'm about to (have my son at home) replace all my brake lines and wanted to route them as cleanly as possible. Going to the other side of the truck and part way back isn't clean in my book
