LS swap what GM exhaust manifolds to use?

Hey everyone,
I'm wondering if anyone has experience using a GM exhaust manifold for a 6.0L LS swap into a 71' chevy 2wd. I've kinda heard of Trail Blazer SS manifolds clearing but also wondering if 2010+ camaro manifolds might clear. Truck manifolds won't clear the frame I'm trying to go for the GM look as much as possible and really don't want to go with headers.
Here's a little about the build 2009 6.0L LY6 and early classic motor mounts.
Any info would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks, Curt

I'll give you a little help here the ones off the 5.3 TB's and Envoy's and Rainer's are the same as the ones on the SS TrailBlazer. From what I understand you can also fit in the 10 and up SS Camaro's and if you go to LStech.com[or is it LS1Tech.com] and go to the for sale section there are tons of guys that sell there manifolds there and you can also find take offs sometimes. Re: LS swap what GM exhaust manifolds to use?

I am using 2010 Camaro exhaust manifolds. My engine stands are set back to the six cylinder position to allow using a low mounted A/C compressor, so I had to do a bit of hacking them up to clear - a mount kit that puts the engine stands in their usual position would not have this problem, and the same goes if you put the '73-up engine stands into your '71. Other than that, the manifolds fit great. I like the way they point straight down.

Make sure you get the flange for the manifold you end up running too. The TBSS flanges are sorta oddball.

Hey David,
You wouldn't happen to have a part number on the ss manifold you used. I have the truck flanges with the O2 bung so it would knock hunting those down of my list. Was thinking about just doing the same and getting some from the dealership but wanted a little more info before I paid dealership money for a special order. Man at a 50/50 here between the high dollar ss trail blazers or the 2010+ camaros.

I have read the rumor that the LH has been discontinued. So you might want to hurry and order that part and have it ran on the locator someone is bound to have some in a bin somewhere at the price I saw that they were on GMParts[Around $50 bucks each]They are reasonable. Jim

Re: LS swap what GM exhaust manifolds to use?

I have read on here [can't remember where] that the flange pipe [end] for the truck and the TB [V-8] are the same. that would def be worth checking into cause it would be lots easier to find the down pipes of a truck than a SS TB. Jim
