Re: 69 crew duramax build

So far I'm very pleased with how everything is turning out. We will have a few places to touch up after doors and fenders are all hung and shimmed 100% but overall looking great

Very nice- you will love this truck! Saw your comment about your wife getting suspicious- how did that turn out? One guy on here said his worst fear when he died was that his wife would sell his truck for what he had told her he had in it

Re: 69 crew duramax build

She is pretty easy going as long as I don't cut into her fun money. More than once she has come home from work and I had a new truck. Sometimes she doesn't even notice... However she is fairly certain I should have just gone and bought a new high country diesel and it would have been cheaper but anyone can buy those. Pretty limited supply of 1969 crew cab 4wd duramax trucks that ride and drive like a late model truck.

Re: 69 crew duramax build

Inching closer to finish line. Interior sound heat proofing is done, door latches and opener solenoids are installed. Hood on, grill on, bumpers on, inner fender plastic liners in and door/fender gaps getting adjusted pretty close. Tail lights, bed side marker lights, license plate lights all wired in. Depending on how power windows go this week it will be very close to road legal minus windshield until I figure out headliner

Re: 69 crew duramax build

Man oh Man, I haven't kept up with your build...LOVE this truck, this baby got daily driver written all over it... Not really a red color fan, but truck looks awesome. I am finishing up on my c/10 build and am getting ready to start on my brand-x build. I am taking a 1969 Ford F-100 and swapping the body to a 1999 F-150 chassis & driveline...you give me inspiration....Keep it up brother...Casey

Re: 69 crew duramax build

Fit pretty good. Lots of work to cut rivets and reinstall all brackets from old shell

Very cool Truck! Love the red!
one question: how the heck did you get that truck in and out of a paint shop that quick?
Good job!
