Here is some original seat photos from so of the stuff I have. The gray colored seat is a 1961 chevy. The blue seat bottom is a 1962 gmc suburban. The piece of material is from a 1960 gmc. It had a silver vinyl around it. The seat in the truck is the original seat in my Black 65 K10. The photo of the sales brochure is out of the 1965 chevy options and accessories dealer flyer. It explains the red and tan interiors in 1965. The red was only in the trucks with white,gray, or red exteriors.

Dad built a shop and started doing upholstery work over 30 years ago. He had it stashed in the back of the shop in the material room. Just had to go back there and pull it out!

Bought this one in 1997 from daughter of original owner.We used it a couple of times for Fishing and Boy Scouts with my son. Its a half ton long bed 292 PB and factory compass. OG owner took the bed off in 1963 and put it in his barn along with the wheels,that all came with it. Second picture shows it sitting today collecting dust. Need to find time to pull the camper and get it going again. They also put a dually rear wheel setup on the stock six lug rear, no sway bars ! Its like driving a bag of wet cement.

I need the dimensions so the shop can make a template. I have no numbers at this point, just a seat that needs redone and the SMS fabric I can get. So whatever numbers or pics I can get for the upholsterer will be great. The bottom seems pretty straight forward, so really just the seat back that I need dimensions on. Or if anybody has an old cover I can use as a template.

On my 65, I have the Custom seat. The back is perfect, but the fabric is torn on the driver's seat bottom. Can I just sew in a new fabric panel?

Thanks for posting the GMC seat, notice how they have a different pattern, different cloth and different colors. 62-64 GMC "Custom" seats were color coordinated in 4 different colors compared to Chevy's 2.

OK, heres the seat. 1963 custom comfort in blue and white. He did an outstanding job on it. If anybody needs his contact info...just PM me. He has made a template of this seat for future use.
