Dang man! It's gonna almost be a shame to put a body on that frame... Then we won't be able to see it anymore. That things Pretty!

Re: 75 C10 shortwide driver

I finally got a bit of progress, sort of.

I got a bumper off of Craigslist for 25 bucks, so I started removing the bolts to smooth the bumper. I had a few giving me some problems, so out comes the grinders. I also had to cut the frame to fit the newer bumper.

I also decided to Z the frame, so I tore it apart and ground off the paint. One step forward, Two steps back.

Re: 75 C10 shortwide driver

So, as time changes, so does my mind. I picked this up last night. I've been obsessing and researching them for a while, and I found a deal I couldn't pass up. I love these engines. 292 out of an 80 pickup. I will put a few goodies into it.
Got a bellhousing as well. Now gonna find a T-5.

Re: 75 C10 shortwide driver

Got the motor cleaned up. Hopefully get some paint on it this week. Pressure washed it with some red hot twice, then sand blasted a bit/ wire wheeled. I still have a bit more to do before I paint it. I have to ditch the intake/ manifold/ smog garbage. I'm going to paint it orange. I'm hoping my vision for the truck turns out, it may be a bit much..

Re: 75 C10 shortwide driver

Thanks guys! I'm getting psyched. I need to finish up the chassis, so the motor goodies will be put on hold for a while.

PBR.

Re: 75 C10 shortwide driver

man.. I couldnt pass this one up. I sold my harley and I bought this yesterday. The body and motor/ tranny is going on my chassis so I have a truck to drive this year. It is going to still be painted the green instead of the gold next year. Plus I will add the cab trim/ white roof.
