Can I go from 17" to 16" wheels

Just found a killer deal on some factory 16" aluminum wheels.
I want to replace these steel work truck 17" with them... will they fit?

I don't know for sure either way, but I would check the brakes first. Those are from the last body style too, not sure if the backspacing is the same???

16"s were also an option when new.

Depends on what year your truck is. 99-04 can use 16s. In 05 they went to rear drum brakes with bigger front discs that require 17" rims.

It's an '07 Classic. Your right...after researching I learned about bigger brakes in '05 too. Went outside & looked - It's only about 1/4" now between caliper & inside of wheel, so no way 16" would work.
I love the look of the 20" factory wheels (found this pic somewhere surfing around), but refuse to pay $1000+ for used wheels...something good will come come up I'll just keep looking.

I knew about the change in brakes in 05, but didn't know about the size change.
