Changing wheels and tires

I will be removing my stock wheels and putting on rally wheels. Here is the picture of the wheels and a picture of what is on the truck. I will take pictures this weekend after the rally wheels get put on.

I normally don't like color matched wheels, but I think those are going to look good. What center caps are you using?

Thanks Hart_Rod, The center caps are standard 4x4 caps. The reason they look different is because in the 70's i ran the same wheels on a 2 wheel drive 67 so i did not want it to say 4x4 so i came up with putting the 3" spot mirrors glued on there to mimmic chrome. I have always like the look after that.

Re: Changing wheels and tires

Look similar to what I did with my 70 SWB 4X4. I powder coated the rally wheels to match the body color. I also removed all the paint from the OEM center caps, so they are just chrome. I likey.

Re: Changing wheels and tires

I think your truck looks good with those wheels and tires and looked fantastic with the 16" skinnies. But, it's your truck and they can be changed back and forth according to your mood. I would definitely hang on to that original set. I'm going to grab a picture with the old wheels while I have a chance.

They look good with both, but I'm a sucker for the white steelies.

Sicklajoie,i like the steelies too but I think I am sold on the painted rallies. If was just the Argent silver rallies I would of just stuck to the steelies also.

Looks good both ways. Like said above, hang on to your stockers. Could have a mood swing the other way same as now .

Tim,
I wouldn't have expected anything different from you. You certainly love your stock steelies. That's awesome.

Re: Changing wheels and tires

I really Like this picture of it. I also took it out last saturday night to springfield mo, too street machine nationals and cruised Glenstone. First time it has been further than 8 miles from the house, it ran well sitting in traffic and no problems with over heating or starting when shut off and parked ,great night. Ready for a car show this saturday in republic if it not rained out.
