Building a small, high rpm engine with the perfect bore, stroke and rod ratio is very impressive.

You will only get this if you were around in the early 80's or so I've been told....

Re: More New Products from Porterbuilt Street Rods

Has anyone done a coilover setup with a dropmember? I like bags, but I want simple and good handling. Yes, I know you can make bagged trucks handle good, but I don't want to have to deal with switches, valves, tanks, compressors, and hoses. Pics or input would be nice.

Here's a teaser pic... We have one currently being installed by a board member on a 71 Blazer.

That is what I'm looking for! Is using R&P steering mandatory with that crossmember? I would kinda like to keep my manual box setup. Also, any experimenting with splined swaybars?

Rack and Pinion steering is mandatory. The DM's geometry is not compatible with the factory steering components. Manual racks are normally around $275, but I have seen some popping up lately for under $150 (and still a quality brand).

I look forward to updates on how the coilover setup works and will plan on using it when available. Thanks for the fast response!

Re: More New Products from Porterbuilt Street Rods

Very innovative Nathan. The tube/coil over unit will be a big hit I'm sure. I'd even opt for that set up.

Very "pro-touring-esk" IMO.

Fine-tuning the upper coil-over mount. Should have some update pics next week.

Is it possible that the coil over setup might be ready after the 1st of the year along with those trailering arms you told me about Nate?

Re: More New Products from Porterbuilt Street Rods

I've also got a question ....... lower tube A-arms for a 3500 GM .... do you build them? Say a mid to late 80's square??

Thanks.
