Changed the wheels and tires on my 4x4 Suburban

I had a set of 16x6 wheels with LT235/85/16 tires on here and I just didnt like the way they looked, so I went with 16x7 wheels and a LT265/75/16 tire and it looks sooo much better Sorry for the dark pic

Joe,... are the 16x7 wheels factory?
Or did you buy aftermarket wheels?

Great look. Also like the original hub caps.
Working on 70 C-20.
I need 8 lug rims with dimples for original chevy hub caps. Are you saying that Ford has rims that will work?

Yes, Ford makes these 16x7 wheels. I have them on 3 of my trucks and i think they look great. I find them mostly on vans from the 90's. They are stamped "16x7" on the outer part like where the valve stem is. They are pretty easy to find

Looks great! What year does Ford 8 lug work on a Chevy? I know Dodge 8 lug works, but my buddy tried using my 8 lug rims from my Chevy and they didn't fit his 90's Ford F250. The bolt pattern was different.

Looks great Joe! May I request If you have it; a pic of the Burb with the LT 235's just for comparison.
Also here are pics of the Ford rims that he is referring to...

Re: Changed the wheels and tires on my 4x4 Suburban

Your stuff always looks great! Im curious do you drive your trucks at all? Is one of them the "driver", and the other rides get rotated and driven on nice days?

You can get Wheel Vintiques in 16x8 with the nubs for the dog dish caps for those asking about the 16x7 wheels.

I hate to say it, but none of them get driven much. They collect more dust sitting in the garage than on the road lol. I TRY to get them out whenever I can. I have driven the Suburban several times this week though. Even my Duramax has started to sit most of the time, the HHR panel has taken over the "daily driver" duties

Joe, thanks for show me the different looks on the tires. I had been strongly considering the 235's but your pics have helped me decide otherwise.

The 235 might look better on the 7" wheel verses the 6" wheel I had

Re: Changed the wheels and tires on my 4x4 Suburban

Hey Joe,
Thanks for the tip on using 16x7 ford rims for my C20. Found 5 at local yard. Cleaned and painted them. Last week fitted them with new 265/75/16 tires and they look great on the truck.
Thanks again,
Serge
