hey i wanted to show you what all came in the powerbraid chassis kit to help you decide with rebate. not trying to screw up your thread but want you to see how nice it is. the braid is very fleaxble and does not kink like the old wire loom. hope it helps you.

not sure yet, some low light from under the dash would be nice at night. if i do, when i get to that point i can just grab a spare circuit or piggy back on to another circuit. i will not use all 18 circuits with out having to many accessories. might make a little ciruit board with a couple leds on it or something for just a little bit of light.

I think the underdash harness comes with door pins so it only works when you open the doors...

some LED's sound cool though...

Just picked up a painless wiring harness... went with the one from amazon.com since it was $30 cheaper and free shipping... they also have a $100 rebate or free powerbraid kit...

although this place might be better than summit for future purchases.. www.streetsideauto.com

Amazon.com: Painless Wiring 10206 18 Circ.Wire... Amazon.com: Painless Wiring 10206 18 Circ.Wire...

no problem..

didn't even touch the garage again with family in town and a few trips planned...

I'll just keep collecting parts, daily driver needs a new exhaust now so there goes more loose change.

I think that I did decide to make a custom SS exhaust, with John's help of course!

I have a set of Delta 40 series flowmasters that are up for sale now... $50.. slightly used but "like new" condition... I'm gonna stick with pure SS for the entire exhaust..

i'll keep you first in line.

I looked up the model number and they run $90 each, they were originally in the American Thunder 90's Mustang package... but a muffler is a muffler...

very heavy duty with a lot of pieces... sending my rebate form in for my free wireloom set now!

Had Old Gold Chevy in Fontana put a stainless muffler and tailpipe on the Ford today... $265 out the door with a polished SS tip... Not a magnaflow put more like a knockoff brand... little quieter than I thought it would be but I can't frown on the price. They seem like pretty good guys, nice 57 convertable they are building right now too...

Re: 68 K-10 SWB build thread - project Money Pit...pics galore!

i'm on day 10 working 10+ hours per day, another 5 to go and i'll be spending the weekend in Niagara Falls with the family. so, needless to say there hasn't been any work on the truck for awhile... I don't foresee really getting back on the project until after teh new year... I have a very full plate right now.

Re: 68 K-10 SWB build thread - project Money Pit...pics galore!

Hey,Mike Old Gold does good work they put 3 inch dual stainless steel exhaust on my '79 k20 afew years ago.
Wiring harness's...We have been looking at wiring harness for a '59 Chevy Panel truck and we have found out by buying spools of wire is going to be cheaper then a wiring harness.Plus you can customize it.And we'll have extra to do my '72 k20 and maybe 2 more truck's.Here's a good link for wire and accessories..

thanks... I need to see if Old Gold does body work and paint. Ron Francis is another semi-local wiring place as well...

Did you sell the flows yet? If not I'll take them, I am a push over for the flow sound!! Let me know and I can send a MO out ASAP.

Thanks, Mike

ps the truck is coming along nice, my projects are litterally lining my yard and have not seen any love from me in over a year. I keep telling myself one day, one day, but then I drag another home and the car lot gets bigger!!

Picked up a few parts

Also installed my radiator hose and freshly PC'd air cleaner. I added a 3/4" spacer for the aircleaner but don't like how it allows it to rotate now... thoughts?

... not much work but it's something.

Someday i'll get promoted and I can have an Elephant roast to knock this sucker out! I'm losing $900 a month right now because PA is so behind on promotions. I've been in the position since April and probably won't see a $$ until after xmas... GO ARMY!
