Re: CL find: 67 Burb

sharp looking even without the resto. those neat big rig mirrors could use a fresh coat of chrome, but slick burb! i already have a 72 burb (and no money) and no time to drive 1500 miles one way!

Re: CL find: 67 Burb

From the pic it looks like a solid runner? Looks like it's been kept original, and the trim is still there on that side at least.

I hope the pas side isn't plowed in or something...

Good luck in getting it, and if you do go to check it out or buy it. Be sure to post up a bunch o' pics!

Re: CL find: 67 Burb

I'm gonna pass. It's worth the money but I don't know if its worth the trip. It appears to have quite a bit of rust in the lower quarters and some scary spots along the gutter. If it was local I,d be on it like stink on poo.

Re: CL find: 67 Burb

I talked to him today. Sounds interesting. Has origninal 327 400 turbo auto tranny. Do you all think this will make a good restoration project or should I let it pass?
He did say, as the picture shows, that there is the damage to the rear quarter panel but that can be fixed, it's missing the steering column--how hard would it be to get an original steering wheel? Does it look like there are all 4 hubcaps? He says they are all there, but one of the pictures looks to me that the back driver's side is missing?
Tell me what you all think of this one.
Thanks.

Re: CL find: 67 Burb

To answer your questions. You can get a decent used steering wheel all day on the for sale section for about $75 or get a reproduction steering wheel from any site vendor for less than $125. If any hubcaps are missing that is another item you can get used on here or reproduced from vendors. Overall it seems like a nice project for the money.

I've got an orginal 68 auto column which should be the same and a steering wheel if you end up with this. Let me know and best of luck.
