Keep at it Rob. Those small things that don't look like much are the keys to getting the final touches in order. Too bad there are always so many to do.

I hear you! I have a notebook that I use to keep track of what I have to do on the suburban, but every time I cross off 1 thing, I usually add 2 or 3 more things to it.....

That's funny... sounds exactly like what happens to me. Especially with this LS swap. I just bought an e-level upgrade for my air management... "might as well while the truck's apart"

That's been my biggest problem with my 72. I can't leave it alone and finish it. I always seem to want to add this or that, and that and this.

Well last night, me and the wife tackled one of the tasks I hate the most when it comes to building these trucks, bleeding the brakes........

. It seems like every time we do this evolution it is always painful.

Well this time I attacked the task a little differently. I double check all my line connections first, I used this little brake bleeding vacuum tool at Harbor freight, and I said a small prayer,

. 3 pints of DOT3 brake fluid, 2 small leaks at the front calipers, and 60 minutes later - it appears I have a good solid pedal and no drips!!!

Nice, glad that went well. Damn these trucks look good with the roof racks. I've always liked the look of nice and clean and smooth with no moldings, roof racks or emblems, but these trucks change the way I have thought about things in the past. I wish I could get my hands on a nice original roof rack. Any more up close pics of the rack itself? I have a friend who has a CNC table and has been cutting a good amount of custom metal pieces lately, maybe he can remake it?

That's a great feeling. The worst feeling is when you keep finding leaks during that process. Been there.

Thanks, I love the original look of these old trucks, but I enjoy the function and performance of modern cars! If you look through the thread, I have some really good pictures of the roof rack.

Thanks guys! Was really happy that it went as smoothly as it did. I need to get the exhaust on it next and then I can start tuning the motor and transmission. Here's a few pictures of it backed out of the garage yesterday.

Thanks guys! Still working on the tune and I need to replace the Corvette fuel pressure regulator. It's only putting out 50 psi and should be between 58-62. At least its running well enough to move it out of my shop so I can insulate and sheetrock the inside. Pics all aired out.
