Re: project INCREDIBLE HULK 6.2L with 6L80E

bit more progress, i got the door fitting the best it could.....the gaps sucked (aftermarket door), expecially around the window frame.....it was too tight on the upper aft part of the window opening, then it tappered to about a 1/4" gap in the middle, and then went to about a 1/32" at the upper front.......what i had to do was cut the door at the front door piller, then remove 1/8" of material, pull the front frame back....that took care of the front piller gap....on the rest of the window frame i pushed the rear of the window frame forward, then shaves off about 1/16" to get the gaps good......

Re: project INCREDIBLE HULK 6.2L with 6L80E

here is a bit of an update....
got the rear step notch installed, (the old c-notch wasnt doing it for us) so with the step notch we were able to lower it about 2" more..... here is some pics, the shocks will be added shortly, when the bridge goes in..... also keep in mind that the tires on there now (rear) are for rollers only, they are 31"....

Re: project INCREDIBLE HULK 6.2L with 6L80E

got a bit of an update.....
im back on the dash/center console....i got the side peices made......the center console is kinda challenging (because i wanted to make it out of 1 peice), so instead of making it out of 1 peice, its gonna be 4 peices welded together....here are the side peices, they have a rolled top (kinda see this in the pics), and also im gonna make a inner structure to support the weight of our electronics, arm rest, and just general wear and tear it'll receive.....
also here is the side profile of how the truck sits now with 30" tires rear and 27.5" tires on the front (both on 15" wheels).......

Re: project INCREDIBLE HULK 6.2L with 6L80E

You will always need more room. We sold our old house to buy this one with a 1200 sq. ft shop, plenty of parking and a 2 story out building and now we are out of space. Luckily I am zoned commercial so I can put a second story on the shop for almost 2400 sq. ft. Not bad for being right down town. Next stop will be 5+ acres!

Truck is looking great by the way. I like the dash you have designed. I should have my Lazze English wheel real soon so I can start playing as well.

Re: project INCREDIBLE HULK 6.2L with 6L80E

got the center console made....the front peices were the last peices to be made, so i made a cardboard templete, transfered it to metal, cut and fit, added a stiffner for some rigitity, then welded together. .....ill add some stiffners that connect the two sides, when the dash comes back out.... here are the pics (the 3rd one looks like some mid-evil deheading device)

Looks great! Are you going to make any provisions for carpet or leather to go under the console or are you going to bind the carpet at the edge?....sorry I'm in interior mode right now and it looks like the console fits nice and flush with the floor...
