Re: Buried to Bagged 1972 2wd

David,

Save the cut-out portion of your tub. I might be able to use it to repair portions of my bed. Also, early in the post you talk about running the LS3 intake, but then you have LS1 heads shown on the block. The port configurations are totally different and as far as I know are not interchangeable. I'll have to stop by again sometime. Say hello if you see me at Niftee-50ees.

Alright then, here are a couple of pics I can show. Started digging into the rocker and rust issues. Shaving the pinch weld is not gonna be too bad, I'll add pics soon.

Re: Buried to Bagged 1972 2wd

I purchased a bed side to add to the top of the doors that I cut down. It worked out well and matches the side of the bed.

More rust repair than I had anticipated but it will be absolutely worth it.

I hated the look of the rear of the frame so I cleaned it up a little. After getting both sides the same it really made a difference!

For you Blazer guys running Porterbuilt, this is not the right crossmember. After a couple of calls to Nate and Dave they had a new crossmember to me in no time. I cannot say enough about this company. Any questions are treated with the utmost importance.

I assume there's room for the column by that 90 degree brake bracket--the pic is deceiving. Whose bracket is that?

It will be extremely close. I may have to make my brackets to move it to the side a little and make adjustments to the pedal arm itself. I got the bracket off of the FleaBay close to 2 years ago and cannot remember who it was from.
