3rd door lock question

I looked up some old posts that are helpful with how to remove from door with posted pictures got that. My question is the upright rod coming out to top where the finger pull is will rods from a truck door work? I have the inside parts looks like I am missing the upward rod and clip to hold it to the "rocker" mechanism I can work that part and it will look the door just need that upward rod I guess? Will I have to have one for the 3 rd door suburban only? Or can one be made to work from a truck door. Hope I have not confused everyone. Thanks Robert

I would think one from a truck would work. If not it could be modified to work.

Re: 3rd door lock question

I would think that the rod in the 3rd door is much shorter than the front door, but you could probably modify to work. Those rods should be easy to manipulate since they are relatively thin
