Roof swap

Has anyone swapped the outer roof panel? I have a donor roof, just looking for the best way to go about it. It seems that part of the panel is bolted on and the front and the rear corners are pinched welded.

Re: Roof swap

if you're talking about just the skin you'll need to drill out all the spot welds around the drip rails and cut along the rear posts. i did one that was an ambulance with lifted roof and put a regular skin on.

Wow, that sounds like a ton of work.

Hey Rob,

It is out of the CD version of the '67-'72 Assembly Manual.

It has a "Find" function and you can actually search for words.

If you do some searching you might be able to find it a little cheaper....
