Here are a couple more shots. I haven’t taken any photos since the hood went back on. I’m extremely pleased with how it turned out. It’s tough, wrenches placed on the inner fenders don’t scratch the finish and dirt washes right off. It’s easy to shoot. There’s very little overspray and the texture is generous and uniform. I researched many Jeep threads, and the Raptor produced great results at relatively little cost compared to Lin-X or Rhino Liner. And since you apply the finish, it doesn’t end up with runs, globs and blotches found in some indifferently applied commercial jobs.

I have a Dumb question for all of you guys with minimal fender wells... Does it hurt the engine to run it in the rain with no / minimal fenders under the hood? I really like the look, but was worried about the engine and electrical under there (especially in the rain and wet road conditions). Should I stop worrying and break out the plasma cutter?

It hasn't really made any difference on my truck. Since the inner fenders above the tires remain in place, the tire spray is pretty much contained in alignment with the tires. The area in front of the doors gets the majority of splatter, although some hits the upper inner fender and behind the headlights. There's really very little difference compared to when the full panels were in place and mine gets driven in both rain and snow, although I don't make a habit of driving through deep puddles.

One cycle at the coin operated car wash makes it all look like new again.

Cool, Thanks for the info. Mine are butchered and look really bad. They are chopped out to fit the radiator and a battery box on the fender that looks like crap. Then, i think i will get some inspiration to make it "mine" with some custom work. Thanks again. JOEY, GET THE TORCH, WE GOT WORK TO DO!!!!

If your truck was a Harley, We'd call it a minimalist death-sled!! It looks awesome under the hood, brother!! I am hoping to get mine cleaned up soon - it is just too depressing to look at right now. It runs like a champ, but looks like WHO-DUNNIT and WHAT-FOR!!!

Here's my '66 before and after pictures. I'm in the middle of replacing all the brake system, starting with a new dual reservoir master cylinder, new brake hoses, and some new steel lines, so I don't have the new master cylinder on it in these pictures.

Rusty headers - I know the feeling. My Hedman long tubes are about 10 years old and rusty. The guy i got them from painted them silver, that crap cooked off in a hot (really hot) minute!! Oh well, I paid 20 bucks for em!! Since then, I got a new set of ceramic coated, chromed hookers for it, a Holley dominator intake, and tall aluminum valve covers. I hope to get into it soon. Saving up for a camshaft and to get the heads reworked (bad valve guides) at the machine shop before I tear into it. I have no budge in my budget, so I gotta make every dollar count.
