Porterbuilt extreme Dropmember and 2 piece drive shaft question???

Does anyone have any pictures of their 2 piece driveshaft installed in a PB extreme dropmember setup? Also, pictures and part numbers of the carrier bearing you are using would be great. TIA

Here is a Drtyrats thread: http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...=406070&page=9

Also Del has a bunch of pics. We use the later model carrier bearing that has the mounting holes perpindicular to the drive-shaft. You can cross this part number from Carquest: HB88107A it has the 1.378 bore for the shaft.

You will have to shim the carrier bearing up approx. 2"... when you get ready for install shoot me a text and I will call you to explain a couple details for an easy install.

Re: Porterbuilt extreme Dropmember and 2 piece drive shaft question???

Don't want to hijack this thread from Rob but I will need this info after I install the Mild Rear Dropmember I just ordered. I'm guessing since it's not the extreme dropmember I won't have to raise my carrier bearing by 2 inches. I'm subscribing for future updates.

The more the merrier, . You might be able to get away with using a 1 piece driveshaft.....

I hope so I would rather run a 1 piece driveshaft, but I doubt it with my luck.

I'm need this info also. I spoke with Del about building a 2pc drive shaft for this application. He quoted around $700 complete, I think.

How about the billet one CPP makes rob. A little shinny to match the headers...
I have one if you want to use it for mock up. Let me know.

I'll get some new pics of the one I just stuck in Grey Goose. It came in at $680 from scratch.

Del I'm interested in the pics, also how much horsepower does this shaft handle. I have mild Big Block in mine but it still puts out over 400 hp. I don't want it to chew up a driveshaft.

Re: Porterbuilt extreme Dropmember and 2 piece drive shaft question???

Run a single driveshaft. Cut the Porterbuilt driveline hoop and make a new hoop that is taller.

You will love the Hills wheelwells. They fit like a glove.
