Re: 72 Dropmember Suburban

I didn't cut the dash and I got the radio installed. That is something that should have been done before I put the ac in but its in.

I wish I could have gotten it with blue lights, but it will work.

Re: 72 Dropmember Suburban

Spent the better part of the day working on getting the brakes put on. I only got one side done. I ordered the spindles for a 72 and apparently I had 63-70 ball joints. I had to pull the lower A arm to swap out the ball joint which meant I had to take the header loose to get the mount A arm bolt out. Im hoping to get the other side done tomorrow.

While the truck is on jack stands, I still have a lot to the under side so before I take it off jack stands, im going to try and finish that all up too.

Re: 72 Dropmember Suburban

What color carpet did you use with the parchment seats? It looks good.

Thanks, I hadnt thought of making a mold. I don't know anyone that could do it.

Might be a cool idea, maybe make it just a little larger to make an aftermarket evaporator fit in it, could add a rear dome light and speakers...hum Know anyone that can do it?

Re: 72 Dropmember Suburban

Got the evaporator the other day. I put power to the blower motor and it spins so that's a good sign. I actually found a place that sells replacement blower motors if this one does go out. I got the cover cleaned up, added a dome light and mounted it up. I looked all over this weekend for speakers that had grills and it seems like they aren't as common as they used to be. I found some online and got them ordered so the holes in the cover will be filled. The cover is going to have to come back down so I can get the lines made up. I may get a chance to do that tomorrow. I think I can get the place that has made up all my hoses to make me up a T fitting too.

What is going on here Brett ? I recognized this beauty right off the bat.

http://dallas.craigslist.org/sdf/cto/4509509500.html

Would you consider a 144 month payment plan @ 0%?
As much as I would love to have her, I would much rather see you finish her and enjoy her as much time and effort you've put into the build.

Re: 72 Dropmember Suburban

Yep, she left for her new home today in sunny AZ.

We are going to be moving soon across the country and really needed to free up some funds. After a lot of thought, selling Alice was the best choice. It was a hard but necessary decision.

The suburban is going to a good home and im sure we will see some pictures on the road soon.

Yes.
It's in mid-Missouri now.
A buddy of mine has it.
It got repainted a couple of owners ago after Paul Tracy owned it.

Thanks. I guess they didn't want to mess with the upper trim.
