Re: Finally seeing some progress...

Haha, no problem. Sorry it took so long for me to post pictures. I've had it home from the body shop for about two weeks but just got the camera back from repair.

Hopefully completion date will be by mid to late April. I still have wiring, driveshaft, door windows, a/c lines, and a few odds and ends. I think I pretty much have everything to finish it up. I hate to take some of it apart but... I'm going to put on new door hinges, I noticed the driver side has some sag. I have the seat done and all the carpet but that's last.

Re: Finally seeing some progress...

How are you doing the skin? If you're replacing what's there....have you considered a handle flip and centering the lettering as seen here?

Re: Finally seeing some progress...

Well, I didn't think of it until now. It'd be cool, but probably too late. The panel will go under the handle. Basically where a stock panel would have gone only it's longer and wider. It will cover the entire lower part of the tailgate. I should be installing it very soon, I'll post more. I like the feed back too good or bad, thanks again everyone.

Re: Finally seeing some progress...

I just read through the entire build. Nice work! I think I might steal that color too. As well as the idea for the a/c controls.

Re: Finally seeing some progress...

Hey Nick, it's Joe. I just wanted to say hello from the Middle East. You and I met at Mikes Bump and Grind the summer of last year. I was there picking up some drop spindles with the wife and son. I would like to say to you CONGRATULATIONS on a job well done my friend. Beautiful choice of color, it really shines in the daylight. The whole truck turned out fantastic. I can't wait to get back this summer and possibly turn some wrenches with you. I have a lot of catching up to do so we can go cruising along the beach and head to some car and truck shows. Take care and God speed my friend. "Drive it like you stole it" HaHa

Re: Finally seeing some progress...

Ok... I know everyone following my build is going to be surprised as I was. I actually got something accomplished today and didn't mess anything up. I finally installed the driver side window glass. Here's a few pictures after I pushed it back in the garage.

Re: Finally seeing some progress...

Is that Ford Dark Sapphire Blue? Looks like the 85 ford color we are doing right now. We will probably have some touch up paint left when it gets chipped up. Oh yeah the paint has a shelf life so it will be bad before you get any chips.

One window a Day??? come get out their and do something
