New vbulletin software for the board?
We must have a new version of software. Clicking user CP pulls up my subscribed threads for about the last two weeks, even if I have recently viewed them. After viewing, the links stay bold when pulled up again. Hopefully that can be corrected. Unless it is only me?
The trucks for sale section is empty with one post by Josh advising the software doesn’t support the previous function. Wondering if the vehicles listed there will be reposted? |

Re: New vbulletin software for the board?
I have no idea what's been happening (basically computer illiterate here) but have noticed what I thought might be board malfunctions. There have been a few times I could not log on, got a message that the board was down for maintenance. I assume things are being fixed / updated and will be normal in due time.

Re: New vbulletin software for the board?
Yesterday the board went down for maintenance, but my computer was only telling me telling me the site had a data based error.
The only explanation given is found in "Trucks For Sale" which only explains the new version does not support what we had for that part of the board...which we knew was not part of the V Bulletin thing. So who knows what is what until more mention is made to take us out of the dark? It appears all listings in trucks for sale at gone for got and starting from scratch with all truck years grouped together. Not sure why that section had to be separate from Vbulletin in the first place and not set up just the same as parts, but I'll admit I know nothing about such matters. I believe before we had whatever it was that is now gone, we did have all that on the same program as the rest of the site. We can all speculate until someone who actually knows what's up can inform us better, which I'm sure will come. I'm also sure what work has just been done took a lot of doing and imagine there is more yet to be done. Probably was put up as is just to get it back up and running with minimum down time.

Is this why it’s acting up for me? Keep getting a error about a token? Won’t let me mark forums as read or upload pictures.

Re: New vbulletin software for the board?
My subscribed list of threads is not updating when I log out and log back in. The list of unread replies to subscribed threads is rapidly growing.....
Edit: the threads in my unread queue go back to May 7,2018 nearly all of which I visited. My list was current just before the software upgrade.

Re: New vbulletin software for the board?
Probably it all is a matter of the updating being done in stages, with more to come before it's back to normal. From what I understand this type of thing is extremely time consuming. Yesterday morning I thought the world had come to an end. Couldn't even get on here at all. I had a member text me about it saying he felt like a kid sent to his room for bring bad. I couldn't have put it in better words myself

Special-K I don't envy Josh at All! I'll bet he is getting a bunch of PM Feedback as we type. Change is hard for people to understand and updates are a Change that has to Happen. I think he will get it sorted out as soon as he can.

Well, even with these minor inconveniences, this is my favorite place on the internet. Good people, interesting projects and so much skill and knowledge are here.

Re: New vbulletin software for the board?
I'm getting the same issue with sub'd threads and re-bolding all of the messages each time I leave a specific subforum. Not the end of the world...but not an upgrade for sure.
