finished this up few weeks ago. It is the wifes truck. Looks like we have to sell it now. After a year of work it really sucks. It has a stock 5.3 with a ls1 intake.

My Z'd, C10 framed, LS powered,55 1st series.


What I believe to be/was told is a 706 headead 5.3


It was DBW but I converted it to DBC. Its's got a BeCool radiator, 160 deg. therm, an intake I made using parts from siliconeintakes.com, 2010 Camaro exh. manifolds that I took the heat shields off of and smoothed down before painting them with VHT header paint, no cats, no evap, a 3" Magnaflow, elec. fan, removed a/c compressor, NGK TR55's and a custom tune. The 4l60e has some bolt ons as well.

I got a couple questions for you. How do you like the power? Do you still have to run the donor's gas pedal for the TPS for the electronic transmission? Thanks!

Yes, I was talking to you I mainly just wanted to know if you could run the stock gas pedal with having a DBC while controlling the tranny at the same time.

It is a 1952 Chevrolet, on s10 frame, wildwood brakes, 9" 4.11 gear, tremec 6 speed, ly6 with ls3 heads, mast vvt delete cam, mast M90 controls, mast old school DBW kit. Dyno at 440 rwhp on mustang dyno and get 26-28 mpg on interstate trips

Too cold to actually do anything here today, so I just read this whole thread. Here's a couple pics of my beater '71 short bed. 2003 5.3/4l60e. Been done since April, and has a little over 9k miles on it, and no issues! It's a great parts hauler.
