Re: The Project Havoc....

Well. I am gonna ressurect a old thread here. As for news About things, they have changed immensly in my life. I went from managing the bodyshop to walking away. It was not for me. I started my own company now doing hot rods, metal work, restorations. I love it and I am slowly booking. My company name is Full Throttle Concepts and you can find me on facebook and instagram at the moment. I do have a plan for Havoc now, I had a rendering done of her and my ultimate goal would be to try and get her done in time for SEMA as a show piece for the company and possible be able to bring her there. I have a few things to finish first before I can start on her. and ultimately she will not be the same at all anymore. Directions have changed but not a whole lot, just a bit in the drivetrain area and suspension side of things. so here is a few pictures and we will go from there. I hope to start on her this fall. Until then I am gonna start collecting parts for her and sell everything I can to fund her.

Good to hear from you again James.

If you thought your old boss was an ahole, just start your own business. The new boss is a real jerk - long hours and missed paychecks.

Best wishes for you and the future of FTC,

Re: The Project Havoc....

hmmmm missed paychecks , would take that new boss for a ride intoo the dessert if that happened more than once
personell is REALY important as those people earns HIS paycheck too
no personel to do the work means no income for the company
first thing that came to mind reading that he was starting his own company was you trow away quite a secure income
now i know a bit better , forgot that they do things different in the states

things like that dont happen here , personel is pretty protected by our laws but things are starting to change for the worse
i'm glad i have a steady income and jobinsurance , i dont make mush money but its a pretty eazy job and i will make it for some time to come
i been collecting parts for my project again as well but whont post any updates before i'm actually doing sumtin with my truck
its going to be sumtin different , unusual engine and a lot of electronics
normal stereo with two speakers though

good luck with youre company , hope youre going to do whell with it

Re: The Project Havoc....

I liked your Facebook page last week. Glad to see you have immediate plans for havoc. I think you're going to do well, I don't know if too many builders around who do what you're capable of with who pay as much attention to detail.

Re: The Project Havoc....

Thanks guys!! I appreciat the kind words, I am super swamped with work and everything but I really want to make this a go. time to do a toy for me and actually finish it. I have to work out details for havoc yet. But they will come. As for the buisiness, I am scared but anxious. Not many builders up here and this has always been my dream. So may as well try.

good tip would be to get some bookkeeper education , like an online course or sumtin
bookkeeping is wat let you keep most of the money you earned enstead of paying the taxman

James, Havoc will look killer! I'm guessing LS and some power adder? I'm sure you'll knock out the new business. You do amazing work and complete severe jobs in a fraction of time most restoration shops get cars in their door. Haha

Re: The Project Havoc....

he could make some intake bells intoo the inside headlights and have a cold air intake weither or not he would do turbo's or not

these ls engines can take a beating when it comes to boost

https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCG7...zD4x2i9MOR3KXg
this one offers kits with the right size turbo(s) , wastegate , stronger valvesprings , injectors and another cam if you want one
compared to do say a stroker rotating assembly with the added machinework or a set of good heads headers and intake its not that expensive for the power it makes
you need to do some pipefitting work to get the turbos on the motor the rest of the engine is totaly stock except for a new tune up and they run great and realy fast

you can dail the boost way back for the street and have a docile engine that dont smoke the tires at every stoplight or turn and still have a good looking enginebay that looks like it goes 200 mph

Re: The Project Havoc....

Hey James,

Congratulations on starting your business. Makes good sense based on your ability to do the work. Charging the right amount (enough) and keeping the books straight is where struggles can come in (he says from difficult experience). After seeing your 69 Camaro build I was looking at how long it would take me to get a car to Saskatoon from Seattle. If I find the right car...

Really like the truck but especially how you brought us into your family. I'm just catchin up but enjoyed every page of the thirty-three gone by. Here's to another 33! Also, your wife is a star. I wish you and your family the best with the business.

Thankyou. I appreciate the kind words, so sorry for the late reply, I have completely been wrapped up in the buisiness. Havoc still sits, my wife does all the books, the family is doing well. I just dont have the time that i use to, lol. But things are going well. The drive from Seattle to here is not that bad, but i could always meet half way too. I have a few clients now from the states, especially with our dollar. that helps big time. Hopefull this year there will be a update fro Havoc. I sure Hope so at least

All of you made me what I was over the years. It was great, everything we talked about and shared. So thankyou.

James, it's very nice to see you on here again! Life does have a rough way of bumping projects. It sounds like your business is swamped. I have no great advice on how to get your motivation up. It's easy to get over whelmed when you're already spread so thin. How's the family doing?
