With a name like "picklex" I would have thought you would put cucumbers in it....

While the 'beam is on the rotissifier, you may look into doing a spray on bedliner or such to the underside. We did that on a Monte Carlo we took off the frame, worked like buttah!

its not the stuff i was talking about , i am however wondering wat would happen if you leave some metal submerged in the stuff (like inside some boxsection ) , it looks like its some sort of acid that could keep eating away at the metal

Looks interesting. Need to do some more checking into it.

Rust is definitely an issue on anything lying around down here very long.

You may have said and I forgot or overlooked it- are you going to strip the car to bare metal?

Nope, it can be left on there (simply wiped off) and just scuffed up to apply epoxy primer right over it. Read up.

You can even find it mentioned with positive result elsewhere on this site. I'll let you guys know what I think of it shortly.

Not fully bare, just down to a good base. Whatever has been holding on this long and doesn't knock off with some sanding will be a fine base for epoxy and 2k.

Well, no pics but so far so good with the Picklex. It does remove surface/flash rust very well. Not sure about the long term protection and all the other claims yet. Time will tell...

Question on the rotisserie, do you think it could be adjusted down to work with a C10 cab? Thx

Re: '66 Sunbeam Minx Project - F20C/6sp/4-link/Discs...

i seen sumtin else that worked well on truckcabs two big L shaped pieces made from box steel that bolted intoo the chassismount holes
you put it on the floor and just push it over to work on the bottom , its a whole lot cheaper and simpler to make than a rotissery

this might work too

Hey guys. I'm just finishing up about two months straight of working 6days/wk 12+hrs/day (had 14 in a row in there somewhere). 2.5 weeks off coming up! Driftbeam will be getting some serious love soon!!!

That thing is so badass! No turbo for mine. SC if anything (no messing with exhaust).

It can! the center span is fully adjustable. It's so nice to flip the body over with no effort and set it at any angle you want

Cheap is good. It all depends on your wants/needs.

Good timing Nuke I've had very little shop time for the last couple months due to crazy work hours (6x12+) weeks plus travel. But I am now off for two weeks

The goal is to have the car to the paint booth before I go back!

Here's a little sneak peek of what I've been up to:

I saw that trick on one of the Powerblock shows a few years back. Highly recommend it!

LOVE this build btw. You do amazing work that makes me cry as I realize how truly poor everything I do is!

Finally closed up the gaps in the rear floor exhaust clearancing:

Driver's Side cleaned up:

Prep for Rust Encapsulator application in the hard-to-reach areas:

Weapon of choice (reached deep inside the rockers with this)

Looks thick here, but it levelled out pretty nicely:

...and another shot of the seam sealage (messy looking stuff near the front is actually rust encapsulator:

by the way if youre tired of ripping youre finger on ragged edges of the metal while smoothing the bead of sealant you could use a round brush with the hairs taped up to about 2/3th of the way it presses the chaulk in further too

he needs to clearcoat the metalfinish itself , leaving the metalwork and welding visible , i bet there would be a lot of techheads and sheetmetalworkers who would like to see what's done to the car or how he did a perticulair job when he shows the car off
