New Carbon hood for the truck from Carbon Kustoms. I also switched the front suspension to a No limit wide ride on Triple adjustable Shock waves from Ride Tech. There is a thread on it in the suspension area.

That hood looks amazing! bet it weighs nothing compared to the stock boat anchor.

Re: Smitty's 67 Build

It'll come in around 25 lbs when it's all said and done mounted.... We haven't weighed the Ram Air hood, but Rob McGregors No Limit straight hood weight 23 and change lbs and I'm allow more weight for this due to the Ram Air vents (being very liberal at that too with 2 lbs cause it more likely to be in the 1 lb or less range including the adhesives to mount them)... The stock hood we molded and weighed off was 76 bs

Re: Smitty's 67 Build

Here it is on. We will be tearing up the autocross at Good-Guys Indy this weekend come see us.

If there is interest in the hood pm me. If we pre order 5 69-72 hood it will be tooled up. Is there any interest in a cowl panel that would be smooth?

Def would be for a smooth cowl panel I would think! Costs a fortune in both time and money to get a stock one smooth.

If we get enough interest in the cowls and some preorders we can get the ball rolling.

Re: Smitty's 67 Build

If I got to stare out of the windshield at a hood like that I would want to tare it up every time I got behind the wheel, that hood is super bad ass.

Re: Smitty's 67 Build

I would love to see a whole carbon front clip. The guy who does them just got a C10 for his project truck and hopefully will be making the other pieces as well. He just finished up doing a ton of stuff for the 2nd Gen F-Body guys. He is selling his Trans Am project as well.

That is correct my friend,,, I am selling one or more of my f-bodies to fund the growth of the company should demand be present.... We have a reasonable beginning of interest in the two C-10 hood models,,,, however I'd have to see more orders prior to developing further molds on the truck line... This is straight economic's and not a smug comment,,, just in the end I need to know costs will be covered prior to going deeper into a market sector..... I will state openly that if the community supports the effort (mold costs recovered by way of orders) I will develop a whole front clip for these trucks that will include a 69-72 hood option as well.... it's all about math unfortunately as I am an enthusiast as well and I'm looking forward to building my truck project ""10 pass 2"....

Re: Smitty's 67 Build

Let me be the first to congradulate Chris on a kick ass showing at the GoodGuys show in Indy last weekend. After a major thrash to get the truck back into show condition (if you know Chris, "perfect" is at the bottom of the acceptable level) He headed out to Indy last thursday midday. After a long weekend of phone calls, tunning and driver advice, Chris put his C10 into the #8 spot in the Pro Class. Thats out of 18 Pro cars! Smitty picked up "Fastest Truck" and "Fastest on Air", and put a whoopin on some damn fast cars and drivers. All that from a 3800 lb show piece. Great job Chris, and thanks for the great showing with your new Wide-Ride IFS.
