The chassis and PB parts have been blasted and powder coated on this one.

Re: Porterbuilt Dropmember Mild Pictures

I have been talking with Nate and Dave regarding a mild rear and A-arms w/ drop spindles for my pickup (I like the stance of Al's pickup but don't want the rake). After seeing this on FB I'm kinda hooked.

I think Dave said the tires are staggered with 20's in the front. Realizing you may not have set the inner fenders on it yet, are you planning on making new inner fenders? Do you think 22's would require new inner fenders?

I haven't decided what size tires I am going to go with so I am anxious to see what mods need to be done in the front.

Sorry, don't mean to hijack your thread. I am sure I will have more questions so I can PM you next time if you'd rather, just let me know.

Thanks!

Re: Porterbuilt Dropmember Mild Pictures

This truck will be getting a set of "Hills Rod and Custom" inner fenders. He's going to run a 22/20 combination. I have this setup on another truck I'm building and without the front sheetmetal on it will just about lay the front of the frame on the ground. I will be making stops to set the stance where the customers wants it. Hope this helps you.

Thanks Keith that does help but raises more questions... I'm guessing the 22/20 combo is used to give it a slight rake? Not completely sure I want to lay frame, but it sounds like I will need new inner fenders with the Mild dropmember regardless if I run 20's or 22's?

Thanks again for your help, your builds are beautiful and I appreciate the experience you pass along.

I like to run 20's on the front because a 255x40 is 28" tall and my rear tires are 31"......I like as much rubber under me as possible...

Re: Porterbuilt Dropmember Mild Pictures

Keith nice work on the brake lines, do you have any pics of how you ran the lines around the rear end? This is where I'm stuck on how to clamp it down. Any insight would be appreciated.

Re: Porterbuilt Dropmember Mild Pictures

I really like your work. I got to work on my tube skills. I have a ridgid and an imperial bender that I use. I need some more practice. I hope I can get close to as good as you someday.

Hope you had a good trip back home today. I seem to find new things on Hazel that I have not seen before each time I look at her. Thanks for letting me sit in her today. That was the best bench seat I have ever sat on. I might have some questions in the future on what all you did to the seat. I would like to done something similar for my '65 when I get that far...

Thanks again.
